This project investigated personal perceptions of living spaces and resulted of a window blind as a solution to the target. A deep research consisted of three living spaces - Finn Juhl’s house, Slottet, the dorm house at Steneby; and my parent’s flat were endeavoured in the development. The comparison of these spaces has formulated a spectrum of merits and drawbacks from different perspectives that later formulated the design. The project refines Slottet’s interior light conditions and moderates my personal identity to the space owing to the temporary role for all the residents. The collapsible window blind is presented which could prevent the TV screen from harsh sunlight in the living room. The colour scheme and material choice are considered to match the house.

The design process includes the comparison study, spatial analysis, interviews and various formgiving stages with the help of mock-ups, 1:10 spatial model and digital software. Adapting the object to the space was a major concern of the project, thus, multiple mock-ups and spatial models were used to clarify the result.

Inspired by origami and easy applications from paper art, I experimented multiple patterns with origami technique and transformed them into wood-made structures.
